Méribel sits quite literally at the centre of Les 3 Vallées, making it one of the best bases for skiers who want to explore the entire 600km domain without committing to one end of it. The resort combines traditional stone-and-timber architecture with skiing for every level, from wooded blues and family areas to challenging reds, off-piste and the high terrain around Mont Vallon. Its central position makes day trips towards both Courchevel and Val Thorens straightforward, while the village itself has enough restaurants, bars and atmosphere to feel like a destination in its own right.
