Who we are
The SkiGems story
SkiGems is the creation of a group of friends who shared a love for skiing and sought out smaller, lesser-known resorts that offered a more bespoke experience
Tired of the long queues and high costs associated with popular tourist trap resorts, the group made it their mission to discover hidden gem ski resorts and made it their annual tradition to explore a new one each year.

Their passion for finding the perfect ski destination eventually led them to discover an amazing restaurant during one of their trips, where they realised that there must be others who share their desire for unique and off-the-beaten-path ski experiences.
And so, SkiGems was born, which seeks out the best under-the-radar resorts and curates bespoke packages that cater to those looking for a more authentic and memorable ski experience. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced skier, SkiGems offers lessons and equipment hire, as well as a carefully curated selection of restaurants and bars that highlight the local cuisine and culture.
At SkiGems, we believe that the joy of skiing lies in discovering hidden gems and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Join us on an adventure and experience the magic of skiing in lesser-known resorts, where the slopes are uncrowded and the scenery is breath-taking.
The Team
Matt Purser
Matt is a keen skier, what he lacks in ability, he makes up for in enthusiasm. He has been in the travel industry since 1989 and had huge experience of organising trips and holidays. His pet hates are lack of snow and long queues so you know you are in good hands if these are also your pet peeves about skiing
Dom Northam
Dom learnt to Ski in Bulgaria when he was 7 years old and has since been lucky enough to have skied in over 40 resorts worldwide. His favourite country to ski in is Austria due to its quieter resorts (if you know where to look), it's Skiing heritage (not snowboarding..) and its high quality food and beer
Ruth began skiing in her late thirties after getting the bug following weekends away with friends and half term trips with other families. She enjoys the social side of skiing, discovering new places and being outdoors in beautiful locations.
