Kvitfjell was originally developed for the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics, and that sporting heritage still shapes the mountain today. Its 34km of alpine skiing stretches across three interconnected mountainsides, with everything from gentle family terrain to the Olympic downhill and demanding World Cup-standard pistes. Despite the serious skiing, the resort itself feels remarkably peaceful, with slope-side cabins, mountain restaurants and a much quieter atmosphere than many major Alpine destinations.
