Courchevel is often associated with its famous 1850 village, but the resort is far more varied than that reputation suggests. Its 150km local ski area stretches across several villages, from traditional Le Praz and family-friendly La Tania to Moriond, Village and the higher slopes around Courchevel 1850. The terrain is equally diverse, with gentle wooded pistes, wide cruising runs and famous descents such as the Combe de la Saulire, while easy links over the ridge into Méribel open up the full 600km of Les 3 Vallées.
